If you source your drinking water from a rural well or bore - shallow or deep - it is advisable to have the quality of your drinking water tested at least every twelve months. It is particularly important for women who may be pregnant or thinking about having a baby or people with young babies who are bottle-fed, to ensure that their water supply has a safe level of nitrates.
